FIFA 21 Tournament FAQ’s
Q. How will groups be determined?
Players will be randomly placed in the group stage.
Q. How many games will each player play in?
Player will have a minimum of three games before the knockout rounds.
Q. Can anyone play?
Everyone! Players of all ages are welcome!
Q. Which systems are eligible?
PlayStation 4. PlayStation 5. Xbox One. Xbox Series X
Q. Will PlayStation 5 players be able to match up and play against PlayStation 4 players? What about Xbox Series X|S players with Xbox One?
When playing the PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 21, players will be able to match up and play each other regardless of whether or not they are playing it on the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 (i.e. users playing the PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 21 on the PS5 console using backwards compatibility). Same for the Xbox One version of FIFA 21, where players will be able to match up and play each other regardless of whether they are playing it on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. When playing the PlayStation 5 version of FIFA 21, players will only be able to match up and play each other on PlayStation 5. Same for the Xbox Series X|S version of FIFA 21, where only players on Xbox Series X|S will be able to play each other.
Q. How will matches be organized?
During the group stage players will agree what days/times their matches will be played.
Q. How will players communicate?
Players will use the TeamSnap app for all communication with their opponents and tournament staff.
Q. What game mode will be used for matches?
Online Friendlies. The home team will send the away team an invitation with the tournament specified settings.
Q. How will scores be reported?
Scores will be reported through TeamSnap. Recording and streaming matches is highly encouraged.
